Pay your insurance premium
TIO recognises that no single method of making your insurance payments suits everyone, so we have introduced a range of options available.
- Internet
You can pay your insurance online using your Visa card or Mastercard. Make secure payments of up to $5000.
- BPAY*
Pay by the national bill pay scheme BPAY. Contact your participating financial institution to make a payment from your cheque or savings account. TIO's biller code is 49379. When keying your reference number please enter only the digits from your policy number (ignore alphabetic prefix and dash).

- Telephone
You can pay your insurance over the phone 24 hours a day. Simply phone 1300 551 673 and have your insurance policy number, Visa card, or Mastercard handy.
- Direct Debit
Organising a direct debit to pay your insurance will give you the convenience of spreading the cost of protecting your major assets over monthly instalments, at no extra cost.
We will also automatically renew your insurance, unless you tell us otherwise. This gives you the security of knowing that continuous cover is provided without the worry of an annual bill.
You can organise to pay your instalments from a nominated savings or cheque account, Visa Credit card, Mastercard or Visa Debit card.
To organise a direct debit contact TIO on 1300 301 833 or visit one of our branches. Alternatively, you can complete the Direct Debit Agreement online. Please read the Direct Debit terms and conditions before applying.
- Payroll Deductions
If you work for the Northern Territory Government, we can offer the convenience of fortnightly payroll deductions through the Northern Territory Public Service. If you wish to arrange to pay your insurance through your salary, please print, complete and sign a Payroll Deduction Form and drop it in to your nearest TIO Branch.

- In Person
You can pay your insurance at any TIO branch by cash, cheque, EFTPOS or credit card.
